A plain-language look at what actually moves a dumpster rental quote in Kalamazoo — size, debris weight, delivery location, and rental length — and why our rates run $350 to $750.

Almost every call starts with the same question: how much does a dumpster cost? The honest answer is that it depends on a few specific factors, and once we know them we can give you one flat number instead of a guess. Rates for a Trent Bros Dumpster Rental container in the Kalamazoo area generally run $350 to $750, and the difference inside that range comes down to size, what's going in the container, where it's being delivered, and how long you need it.
We run five container sizes — 10, 15, 20, 30, and 40 yard — and a larger container naturally costs more than a smaller one. The right size depends on the project, not just the square footage of the job: a garage cleanout and a kitchen gut job can produce very different volumes of debris even in similarly sized homes. If you're not sure where your project lands, our dumpster size guide walks through how to match a container to the job before you call.
Every rental includes a weight allowance, and light household junk rarely comes close to it. Dense material — roofing shingles, concrete, tile, old plaster — can hit that limit well before the container looks full, and material beyond the included allowance is priced separately. Telling us what's actually going in the box when you call — roofing tear-off, drywall, yard waste, general household items — lets us quote it accurately the first time instead of surprising you later. Our guide to what can and cannot go in a dumpster is worth a look too, since a few common items need a different disposal path entirely.
Our standard rental period is 7 days, which covers most cleanouts, remodels, and small projects without any extra charge. If your job is going to run longer — a phased renovation or a build that stretches over several weeks — extensions are available on request. Mention your expected timeline when you call so it's built into the quote from the start rather than added on later.
Where the container needs to go affects the rate too. Our yard sits on the south side of Kalamazoo near Sprinkle Rd and the airport, close to the Portage border, which makes deliveries to Portage, south Kalamazoo, Comstock Township, and Kalamazoo Township some of our most straightforward routes. Communities farther from the yard — Galesburg, Parchment, Richland, Vicksburg, Oshtemo Township, and Texas Township — are still well within our regular service area, just a longer drive, which can factor into the quote. See our service area page for the full list of towns and townships we cover.
Payment is by cash, credit or debit card — not a surprise invoice after the fact. If you're ready for a real number, call (269) 388-8586 and describe the project: what kind of job, roughly how much debris, and where it needs to go. We'll recommend a size, quote a flat rate inside the $350-$750 range, and get you on the schedule.

Because size, debris weight, delivery location, and rental length all move the number independently. A 10 yard container for light household junk delivered close to our yard lands toward the lower end; a 30 or 40 yard container for dense construction debris delivered farther out lands toward the higher end.
We quote one flat rate up front that covers delivery, the rental period, pickup, and disposal. If your load ends up heavier than expected, we'll tell you before it affects the total.
Our standard rental period is 7 days. If you need more time, extensions are available on request — just let us know before the rental period runs out.
It can. Deliveries close to our yard on the south side of Kalamazoo — Portage, south Kalamazoo, Comstock Township, Kalamazoo Township — are typically our simplest routes. Farther towns like Galesburg, Parchment, Richland, Vicksburg, Oshtemo Township, and Texas Township are still covered, just with more drive time factored in.
